Enjoy autumn while it lasts

The Vladivostok News

Tornadoes hit the city. Hunger strikers have been protesting unpaid wages. And the off-and-on power and water cuts give a grim hint of what might be in store for the winter.

But though life in Vladivostok seems hard sometimes, fall offers a chance to reflect on brighter things. Autumn – with its colorful foliage – provides the most dramatic visuals of any season. But fall is also a melancholy season: Icy sidewalks and frozen seas are just around the corner.

So take a break from the rat race and get out into the countryside. Enjoy the balmy weather while it lasts.
