Prisco creates daughter


Prisco Sakhalin, a subsidiary of the Primorsk Shipping Company, registered recently to compete for project tenders in the Sakhalin-2 oil project. Prisco is the only firm transporting oil from Sakhalin-1, but many foreign oil-carriers will compete to carry oil for the developing Sakhalin-2. Prisco will build three 45,000 ton tankers for its daughter company.

Aeroflot to Singapore


Aeroflot recently announced a new flight from Vladivostok to Singapore via Bangkok. The plane leaves Vladivostok every Sunday, and costs $555 for an economy-class seat to Singapore. The airline plans to offer another flight to the same destination on Wednesdays.

Krai banks don’t pay


A report prepared by the Central Bank of Russia’s Primorye branch said that in the third quarter of this year Primorye banks delayed customer payments 689 times. 77 percent of such delays were committed by Far Eastern Bank, Dalrybbank, Primsotsbank, and the Savings Bank of Russia’s Primorye branch.
