Paper finds new home

by Russell Working

Workers are still hammering away out in the halls. And the cockroaches we hoped to leave behind hitched a ride in the desks to our new home.

But all in all, the Vladivostok News is starting to settle in to its new home at 13 Narodny Prospekt, right across the street from the krai’s new Baptist Church – see story:

For the first time since 1994, we are in the same building as our parent paper, the daily Vladivostok. That means we have to be more vigilent in fighting off those who want to swipe our computers and supplies. But it will also give us a closer communication with the photographers and journalists whose work often appears in these pages.

In addition, we should have improved Internet access — a must when we’re now updating our Web site with new stories two or three times a week.
