Be proud of Pallada`s sailors

by Patrick Murphy, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia

I have just spent a week on the Pallada sailing from Melbourne Australia to Sydney. I very much enjoyed meeting with and talking to the Russian crew on the ship. Vladivostock should be very proud of the young men who are fortunate enough grow through their experience on the ship and their officers who guide and instruct them so thoroughly.

I feel a debt to Vladivostok and the crew of the Pallada. The hospitality, friendliness and pride of the crew give me hope that, if the future of Russia lies within her people, Russia will emerge from these times of change with strength.
