Police arrest counterfeiter at Royal Park Casino


Police recently arrested a counterfeiter at the Royal Park Casino, the krai police press service reported.
The man, who works as a commercial agent with the Khabarovsk-based Kard company, bought $3,000 worth of chips, paying in fake $100 bills, before casino workers notified police.

Masked men rob Transaero ticket office


Three masked men robbed the Transaero ticket office at 3 Mordovtseva Street on April 16 of 31,000 rubles ($5,100), the Krai police press service reported.

The robbers assaulted a guard and took his gun, then fled in a beige Volga car. Though the attackers were armed with a shotgun and pistol-shaped weapons, no shots were fired during the hold-up.

Bear, tiger skins stolen from laboratory in Terney


A Siberian tiger skin and a Himalayan bear skin were stolen recently from a laboratory in the coastal town of Terney, 400 kilometers northeast of Vladivostok.

Thieves entered the building through a basement window and stole the best skins - suggesting that they were professionals, according to police.

The laboratory had planned to stuff and mount the skins and give them to a nature museum under construction in Terney. Compiled from newspaper reports.
