Vladivostok Avia purchases Airbus aircraft

The Vladivostok News

The Vladivostok Avia airline signed on Monday a contract with International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) to lease six Airbus A320 aircraft, a press statement from Vladivostok Avia reported.

According to the contract, executed in Vladivostok by ILFC Vice President Philip Scruggs and Acting Director of Vladivostok Avia Igor Bagelfer, Vladivostok Avia will purchase six 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft during the next three years starting this November.

The company plans to use the new aircraft for regular international flights from Vladivostok to S. Korea’s Seoul, Thailand’s Bangkok, Japan’s Niigata and Vietnam’s Hanoi. The planes will also be utilized for domestic flights from Vladivostok to the cities of Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Irkutsk and Yakutsk, the statement said.

The contract added Vladivostok Avia, which is the Russian Far East’s largest airline company, to over 200 companies worldwide that use Airbus A320, a medium range commercial passenger aircraft produced by the France-based Airbus manufacturer.

Vladivostok Avia’s flight crews will begin instructional lessons this August at the training center in the city of Toulouse, France, the statement said.

ILFC, an aircraft lessor with its headquarters in Los Angeles, California, is the world’s largest aircraft lessor which leases Boeing and Airbus aircraft to airlines worldwide.
