13 Chinese tourists injured in bus crash

Thirteen Chinese tourists were injured in a road incident on the highway Pogranichny - Ussurisk Wednesday evening when rear tires of the bus with 30 tourists on board blew out and the vehicle overturned into a roadside ditch, Primorye’s traffic police reported.

The tourists received minor injuries like bruises and grazes although none of them required hospitalization, police press statement said.

Investigation of the accident is being carried out, the preliminary cause is reported as poor technical condition of the tourist bus.

Overall, sixty six road accidents were registered in the Primorsky Krai on Wednesday which is slightly more than typical. Thirty two people received injuries and no fatalities were reported. Fifty nine intoxicated drivers were detained, the statement said.
