The new registration procedures in the alcoholic beverage industry in Russia have ousted imported wines and some liquors from shop and bar shelves leaving vodka and beer for domination. What choice is left for consumers?

Preceding celebrations of professional day of railway workers in Russia on August 6, thirty empty oil tanker cars derailed near the station of Lazo, eight kilometers off the city of Dalnerechensk in Primorye halting traffic along the TransSiberian Railway for more than 10 hours. Crime watch Accused in deadly fire released on bail

On August 4 Vladivostok’s Pervorechensky Court released on bail five people charged with negligence and fire safety violations that led to a massive fire in an office building in Vladivostok in January killing nine people and injuring over 20.
