US ships sail to Vladivostok

Two American warships, Chancellorsville and Guardian, are to cast anchors in Vladivostok for a five-day business visit on September 18, Russian navy officials reported.

The ships call at the port of Vladivostok in accord with the program of military cooperation of Russian Armed Forces with foreign countries’ military, a press service for the Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok reported.

According to the press statement, the current visit will become the 15th official visit of US naval ships to Vladivostok. The warship Guardian calls at Vladivostok for the second time.

The residents will have an opportunity to tour the ships on September 19-21, the statement said.
