Truck with mines blasts in Amur region

The Vladivostok News

A military truck carrying mines caught fire and blasted on Tuesday in the Amur region, news reports said. No injuries are reported.

The vehicle was carrying 40 boxes with 82-caliber mines to the town of Zavitinsk when a fire occurred in its body. The military officers attempted to extinguish the blaze but failed. They drove the vehicle out of the pack of seven other trucks.

Luckily, the burning mines started to explode after the truck had been already taken to a safe distance. When the blasts ceased, the military combed the adjoining territory for shells. As of Wednesday the works on the site continued.
