The regional medical institutions received 385,000 Grippol vaccines from which free vaccinations were given to people covered in the national health project. This includes kindergarten children and schoolchildren of junior classes, elderly people after 60 years of age and state employees, the press release reported. Most private medical centers offer Influvac and Vaxigrip shots, which are imported from the Netherlands and France. The average price for Vaxigrip at Vladivostok’s vaccination center is 450 rubles ($17). Meanwhile nine of Russia’s regions have introduced age restrictions and other limitations for use of Grippol after a significant group of children suffered from allergic reactions. The suspension was ordered in Dagestan after 102 schoolchildren developed allergic reactions across the republic.
