December 12, 20062 North Koreans beaten to death in VladivostokThree North Korean nationals were severely beaten by unknown attackers in Vladivostok on Sunday evening, two of the victims later died at the hospital.
The assailants attacked the three North Korean men when they were walking along Voyennoye Shosse Street on December 10, a press statement from Primorye’s prosecutor’s office reported. The victims were later hospitalized but two of the men did not survive the critical injuries sustained. The prosecutors have launched an investigation into the case. The investigators believe the attack was motivated by racial hatred. Officials of the North Korean Consulate General in the town of Nakhodka have been notified about the incident and are making the necessary arrangements to send the bodies of the two men back to North Korea, Ria Novosti news agency cited a representative of Russian Foreign Ministry in Vladivostok Igor Agafonov as saying.
