Kindergarten suffers gas attack

A total of 154 children and teachers were evacuated from a kindergarten in Vladivostok due to an unknown gas being released on the premises on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in kindergarten no. 145 on Lugovaya Street when children and teachers from one of the groups suddenly suffered severe coughing fits. The children and teachers were immediately rushed from the building, Prima Media news agency said citing the director of the kindergarten.

An inspection of the kindergarten grounds revealed a canister with an unidentified gas hidden beneath one of the children’s beds.

Specialists are currently performing an analysis on the contents of the canister and are examining air samples taken at the scene to identify what gas caused the incident

At the moment, the children’s health is reported as satisfactory.
