160 films from 36 countries will be shown during the 5th International Pacific Meridian Film Festival which is to take place in Vladivostok Sep.15-21, the festival’s organizers told reporters Thursday, stressing that everything has been geared up for the grandiose event.

Yakutia’s Prosecutor’s Office has passed to the court a case against an underage girl in the town of Mirny who allegedly together with a companion murdered her father, a top manager of Russia’s largest diamond exploration and mining company Alrosa, to obtain his credit card.
