Chinese policeman attacked in Blagoveshchensk

A Russian man tried to rob a Chinese man threatening the latter with a sport gun but was detained to find out he had attacked a police officer, Russian police officials said Wednesday.

The Russian man, whose name was not revealed by Blagoveshchensk police press service, approached the Chinese citizen near Teatralnaya Street in Blagoveshchensk. Threatening his victim with a sport gun, he tried to seize the man’s business case.

“However, the attacker was so heavily intoxicated that he did not notice his victim was accompanied by another Chinese man who was quick to help his compatriot,” the press service reported.

The fight attracted attention of Russian police patrol officers who detained the attacker on the spot.

During the investigation, it turned out that the attacked 52-year-old Chinese man was a police officer.
