In the Bay of Progulochnaya near the Pacific port of Nakhodka local divers have found the remains of an old vessel and even managed to recover two masthead lamps from the sunken vessel.

A digital aerial rendering of future plans for Russky Island shows the main complex to be used at the 2012 APEC summit.Primorye’s Governor Sergei Darkin has endorsed architectural plans for a business center for the 2012 APEC summit, which is to be held in Vladivostok. The design came off the drawing boards of the St. Petersburg-based Research and Design Institute for the Elaboration of Master Plans and Urban Development.

Two of seven candidates for Dalnegorsk’s Mayoral position, both ambitious businessmen, made it into the second round on Sunday with no casualties reported. Exactly a year ago, Dalnegorsk Mayoral elections were halted after one of the running candidates for the post was gunned down near his office three days prior the elections.

Crime watch Beer for free

In Vladivostok a man opened fire on pedestrians from an apartment window, demanding beer and vodka to be brought to his place. Police responded to the request with handcuffs.
