| 84 percent of Russians recently interviewed by Levada polling agency consider smoking pot a morally wrong action, an immense number compared to 50 percent of Americans who think the same according to the Pew Research Center. Those numbers were identical to the percentages of people in Russia and America who disapprove of homosexual relations - 84 percent of Russians and 50 percent of Americans consider it immoral. |

Whenever demographic policy of the Primorye region is discussed, the issue of migration immediately comes to attention. During a recent seminar in the town of Arseniev, the discussion took a sudden turn and focused on the touchy issue of the return of ethnic Koreans to Primorye from where they had been forcedly deported in 1937 under Joseph Stalin’s regime. |

| A Chinese court has sentenced two of its citizens who murdered a Primorye tourist and injured another in an attempted robbery last September, to a death sentence and a ten-year imprisonment respectively, news reports said. |
