Shopping mall robbed

Unknown intruders on Tuesday robbed a shopping mall in Vladivostok, making off with an estimated sum of 10 million rubles ($408,100), police said.

The thieves burglarized several stores in a shopping mall located on Fadeyeva Street in Vladivostok, stealing furs and running off with more than 3,500 gold items, Primorye’s police reported.

The criminals also broke into the mall’s ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) and took the cash which amounted to 1.4 million rubles. The total damage to the shopping mall is estimated at 10 million rubles.

Police arrived on the scene after receiving the call about the robbery but did not manage to capture the thieves. Police have launched an investigation into the case.

Police also said that the mall was under the watch of a private security agency which hired non-professional staff to guard this shopping center.
