About 40 Russian and Chinese students exchanged blows in a massive clash near Vladivostok’s State University of Economics and Services (VSUES) on Tuesday with eight of the participants receiving various injuries.

Ten ducks and hens died of bird flu in the village of Vozdvizhenka, Ussurisky County, on April 7, the virus infection being confirmed by Russia’s Central Reference Bird Flu Laboratory on Monday.

Vladivostok businessmen who import and trade used Japanese cars staged a protest on Tuesday against local customs officials who since April 1 have been issuing documentation for the imported vehicles with huge delays resulting in financial losses for the car dealers.
