Handicapped sportsmen demonstrate power in Arseniev

Twenty eight teams of the disabled sportsmen from all over the Primorye region took part in the sporting event “Invasport-2008”held in the end of April in Primorye’s city of Arseniev.

The sporting competitions for the handicapped people were organized by Primorye regional administration. The sportsmen tried themselves in swimming, shooting, arm-wrestling, power-lifting, table tennis, chess, darts and checkers.

The team from Nakhodka took the first prize while Vladivostok’s society for the blind people and a team from Khorol County took won the second and the third places.

Considering the results of the present competition, Primorye region administration plans to form a team of the disabled sportsmen for participation in the federal sporting events for the handicapped people.
