China’s Vice Consul robbed in Khabarovsk

Three unidentified men attacked Chinese Vice Consul in the Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk on May 17 robbing him of 15,000 rubles ($625) and valuables.

The official working for Consulate General of China in Khabarovsk was assaulted in the city’s Yashina Street. The three criminals threatened him with physical attack demanding for money and valuables.

The total damage from robbery is estimated at 30,000 rubles ($1,250), Khabarovsk police reported. The police have launched a criminal case on robbery and are searching for the attackers. They may face up to seven years in prison for group attack and robbery.
