Business Chinese diary products are prohibited in Russia

Tuesday, Gennady Onishchenko, the head of the Consumer Goods Inspectorate of Russia prohibited the importation of Chinese products that include milk as an ingredient. He said that these measures were taken to eliminate the threat of poisoning with Chinese diary products that were reported to contain melamine, the chemical compound used in production of lacquer, plastic and colorants. Sometimes melamine is added into milk to create the illusion of having in it much protein than it really has.

In Pokrovsky park lays a huge stone - the remnant of the demolished in the 1930’s Pokrovsky cemetery. Judging by the size and shape of the gravestone it was set on the grave of an honored person. It might belong to one of the first Far Eastern entrepreneur, Vladivostok earliest explorer, Russian Navy officer, tsar’s high official, general, admiral or tradesperson.

Every year since 2000 on the 28th of September Vladivostok celebrates the Tiger’s day and this holiday is already considered to be the traditional Vladivostok event. The creator of the holiday is Vladimir Troinin, an outstanding scientist of local history. Later the ecological fund “Phoenix”, WWF, Greenpeace and Local Administration supported the idea. The organizers hope that the Tiger’s day can address the problem of depopulation of this animal. In the Far East only 450 units are left.

The participants of the All-Russian icon-bearing procession came yesterday from Archangelsk to Vladivostok. The pilgrims have sailed five seas to get there: the Barentsevo Sea, the Karskoye Sea, the Laptevyh Sea, the Eastern-Siberian Sea and the Chukotsky Sea.

There is a railway terminal square reconstruction in Vladivostok. Today the road masters are carrying out the first step of the reconstruction – removing off the pavestones. The reconstruction is done under the instructions of the new local administration and the reason for that is that the pavestones are damaged and old.
